Emme, glam living room and creative cuisine by Ladaga

Glam charm in the name of the most popular London clubs - including The Arts Club and Ivy Chelsea Garden for the winter garden - but very Italian creative cuisine. These are the distinctive features of "Emme", the new restaurant of the "Margutta 19 Luxury Hotel". In the heart of the Trident, a stone's throw from Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo, Emme welcomes you from breakfast to after dinner between the living room, with velvet armchairs and sofas and easy chic interior, and the "Secret Garden" with veranda heated which overlooks green terraces at the foot of Villa Borghese.

The menu , curated by Chef Daniele Ladaga, is Mediterranean-inspired, strictly seasonal and with homages to Rome, his hometown. Two courses above all, included in the tasting itinerary, remain impressed for their creativity and taste. The “Pomod'Uovo” appetizer, egg cooked at low temperature with tomato soup, almonds and parmesan: a more sophisticated “ Shakshuka ” – dish of the Roman Tripoli Jews – (photo top right); the “Ravioli”, on the other hand, bring to mind the famous “Fagottelli La Pergola” but are reinterpreted in a Grician version (photo below right).

The other courses of the tasting (7 dishes €60) are divided between meat and fish. The other starter is the scampi tartare with buffalo cream and tarragon; the second first course is the lemon risotto, with smoked provola and Cantabrian anchovies; the second courses are the amberjack fillet with deviled sauce and baby fennel and the veal fillet with spinach, hazelnuts and summer truffle; it ends with dessert, the cinnamon tart, figs and ricotta cream, by Pastry Chef Maria Chiara Serges who takes care of the pastry shop. The wine list is basic but well assorted, even with top-quality labels from Lazio.

Emme is also Smartplace. The restaurant offers itself as a digital office for those who are traveling in the capital and, in the intermediate hours - between breakfast and lunch and in the afternoon after lunch until dinner time - need a workstation with Wi-Fi and the possibility to organize meetings. The restaurant also offers an ad hoc proposal for lunch or a snack.

The new restaurant led by Giovanni Moncada is the ideal place for those who want privacy and intimacy in a refined environment, with a cuisine that combines study, creativity and quality. Via Margutta is the setting for this new experience, all Made in Rome.
